Lunch and Learns are a great way to learn about our local history, historical facts and other great information presented each month.

Headed up by local artist and Carnegie volunteer Kathy Tollenaere, each Lunch and Learn is held at the Carnegie Historical Museum on the 2nd floor using one of the Indian Hills class rooms.

"While we unfortunately do not provide lunch, everyone is welcome to bring your own and enjoy the lecture!" - Kathy

Lunch and Learns are "Free" to our Friends of the Museum Members.

There is a $5.00 entry fee to all non-members.

This is your reminder for one of our favorite activities in the Carnegie Museum - our Carnegie Lunch and Learn sessions.  Please mark your calendar for 12:00 to 1:00 P.M., Friday, October 24, 2025!

Our guest speaker is Pete Nelson, one of Fairfield's consummate entrepreneurs (before the term became commonplace).  I know you and I will be intrigued by his presentation and the information he will be sharing.  On the internet, I just found that, in 2022, The Nelson Company celebrated its 50th year in business.  That was worthy of celebration, but it's still operating and hopefully for another 50 years!

As always, we will be on the second floor, accessible by the elevator, inside the ground level front door, or by a flight of stairs, a little further into the building.

Carnegie Lunch and Learn sessions are meant as a "perk" for people that support the Museum through donations, most usually "Friends" annual memberships.  It's our way of saying "Thank You" for supporting the Museum!  Guests are permitted to attend, for a donation of $5 each.

Please sign the attendance sheet as you enter the room.  If you are bringing your lunch, please arrive a little early in order to find a "good spot" to sit.  If you need to leave earlier than 1:00, please sit near the doorway.
