The Carnegie Historical Museum is recognizing the oldest farms in Jefferson County.  The series is broken up into 3 categories.

Heritage Family Farms - 150+

Century Family Farms - 100+

Golden Anniversary Family Farms - 50+

The idea to honor Farm families came about through a brainstorming session between then Carnegie Museum Board Members Lawrence Eyre, Dave Neff and now Director / Curator Jake Schmidt.

"The museum is reaching out to family farms to see if they would like to be featured, and thus far we have had great success. " - Schmidt

In addition to the farms history the museum has a dedicated display case for each months family farm that is being showcased on the 3rd floor of the Carnegie Museum.
